Rise of the Tomb Raider is an action-adventure video game developed by Crystal Dynamics and published by Square Enix. It is the sequel to the 2013 video game Tomb Raider, a reboot of the Tomb Raider franchise. It was released for Xbox One and Xbox 360 in November 2015 and for Microsoft Windows in January 2016. A special edition of the game, titled Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration, was released worldwide for PlayStation 4 in October 2016.
Rise of the Tomb Raider was announced in June 2014. The game's storyline follows Lara Croft as she ventures into Siberia in search of the legendary city of Kitezh, whilst battling a paramilitary organization called "the Trinity" that intends on beating her to the city's promise of immortality. Presented from a third-person perspective, the game primarily focuses on survival and combat, while the player may also explore its landscape and various optional tombs. Camilla Luddington returns to voice and perform her role as Lara.
Upon release, Rise of the Tomb Raider was critically acclaimed, with critics praising its graphics, gameplay, and characterization. It was the best-selling Xbox One game during Christmas week, and had sold over one million copies by the end of 2015. Storyline: Since leaving Earth at the end of ‘Age Of Ultron’ to search for answers and more knowledge on the Infinity Stones, Thor finds himself in chains and prisoner of Surtur who plans to destroy Asgard by fulfilling the prophecy of Ragnarok. On earth Loki is mysteriously teleported away as is Thor we discover by Dr Strange. Thor and Dr Strange discuss the threat that Loki possess to the Earth and the whereabouts of Odin. Dr Strange teleports the pair to Odin hiding out in Norway where he reveals to the brothers they have a powerful and evil sister Hela, Odin’s first born who upon his death will return to take over rule of Asgard…
