Kochadaiiyaan (2014)

The long and much-awaited trailer of Rajinikanth and Deepika Padukone starrer Kochadaiiyaan released a few days ago.
As a forgone conclusion, the official Tamil trailer of Kochadaiiyaan has garnered more than 1 million views in two days of this launch showing the enormous love and respect Rajinikanth has earned over the years.
There is lots of curiosity amongst his fans as they were eagerly waiting to see their superstar as an animated character.
The 3D models of the characters of almost all the stars, be it Rajinikanth, Nasser, Deepika Padukone or Sarathkumar, don’t resemble them as much as they should and that’s a huge lead down.
Another thing that could attract you are the massive war scenes that were shown, the background music and the huge army fighting on the battle field but then one look at the close-up shots reveal that the whole army is made of just a few characters and duplicated. The background characters, who are at the left and right side of the main character, are actually the same people, in most shots.
Well the makers should have made efforts to make these characters look different, considering the time taken for the film to be completed. The Motion Capture technology, which makers have used for the film, would have done wonders only if character were well modeled and rigged.
Squash and stretch is by far the most important rule of animation techniques, be it any form of animation. The rule applies to all characters, objects and even the costume of the characters. The trailer gives an impression that this rule hasn’t been followed completely, as Rajinikanth‘s blue bottom’s wrinkles don’t change at all when he jumps up and lands on his knees.
Though these minute details might not be visible to an average viewer, aren’t such details important, considering the fact that Kochadaiiyaan is being released in almost twelve languages across the world?

Holiday (trailer)
The trailer of the much awaited Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha starrer 'Holiday: A Soldier Never Off Duty' is finally out.
And like the name of the movie suggests Akshay Kumar, in what's a refreshingly new avatar for the actor, plays Army officer Captain Viraat Bakshi who flaunts his own brand of justice. Love comes to him in the form of a headstrong girl played by actress Sonakshi Sinha.Directed by A.R. Murugadoss, the film's a Hindi remake of the 2012 Tamil blockbuster Thuppakki that starred actors Vijay and Kajal Agarwal. The film is reported to release on 6 June 2014, and is most likely to clash with Ajay Devgn's Action Jackson.

Exactly a year after AJAB GAZABB LOVE (October 2012), Jackky Bhagnani has kick-started a new film of his this month. Titled YOUNGISTAAN, the film marks the directorial debut of Syed Ahmad Afzal. As the title suggested, it is a youth entertainer with romance as an integral part of the narrative. The film is currently being shot in Japan. Bhagnanis wanted to wait for a while before announcing a new film. Though Priyadarshan's RANGREZZ featuring Jackky released earlier this year, it was a film that Jackky had signed alongside AJAB GAZABB LOVE. After the release of these two films, father-producer Vashu Bhagnani kick-started HUMSHAKALS (Saif Ali Khan, Riteish Deshmukh, Bipasha Basu) with Sajid Khan in the interim period," informs our source.
Once the 40 day schedule of HUMSHAKALS was wrapped up in London, it was time for work to begin on YOUNGISTAAN.
